Anne and Jason’s Hockley Valley wedding took place on a beautiful spring afternoon. The couple incorporated a very privare first look into their day followed by a very quick photo session with their family and bridal party. Their ceremony was performed by their Brazilian priest and took place in a Catholic church close by. It was so touching watching Anne being given away at the altar by her dad as the two shared a very emotional moment. We had a very limited time to do our portrait session of the couple after the ceremony, but we utilized it to the fullest. The night continued with a great reception, fabulous food (seriously, we eat a lot of wedding food, but Hockley Valley did a spectacular job), and some great dancing performances (especially the father and daughter dance). One year, while Jason was spending the summer in Toronto, a mutual friend introduced the couple to each other. As Jason is originally from the US, they had to date long distance for 2 years before Jason moved to Toronto in 2010. He finally proposed on Christmas Eve before going to family dinner. After their big day they’re looking forward to moving to Calgary and starting their family. Thank you Anne and Jason for choosing us as your wedding photographers. You’re both such wonderful people.
