Outdoor Muskoka cottage wedding- Amy and Colin
Amy and Colin’s cottage wedding took place on beautiful Skeleton Lake in Muskoka. We always love shooting Muskoka weddings, but this one was definitely a treat. The wedding had a cottage theme with hints of navy, peach and white. From the moment we walked on to the property we just loved all the rustic wedding details handmade by the the bride’s family and friends. You could tell right away how much love, effort and time was put into all the elements of Amy and Colin’s Muskoka wedding. Even the wedding favours were little bottles of maple syrup made by Amy’s father using maple trees on their cottage property. The day was filled with so much love this family had for each other and some of the most relaxed attitudes we’ve experienced at a wedding. That’s probably the reason why the wedding day went so smoothly and went off without a hitch. The day was truly what a wedding day should be about. Love, family, fun and celebration. Since Amy and Colin live few thousand kilometers away, the wedding planning process felt a bit like a destination wedding. We met Amy once while shooting her friend’s wedding. Since we believe that people attract like minded people we had a feeling these two were going to be pretty fantastic. We truly couldn’t have had a better day. Plus it always helps when you’re surrounded by good people, beautiful Muskoka scenery, and spend part of the day applying your creativity on a lake and a boat. After a beautiful and emotional reveal we had the privileged of exploring Skeleton Lake with the bridal party. The Muskoka wedding photo shoot was followed by a beautiful outdoor dock ceremony and the couple’s exit on a boat. Amy and Colin’s wedding celebration ended with a tent wedding reception and an exciting announcement from the couple. We are so thankful to Amy and Colin for choosing us as their wedding photographers. Being wedding photographers there is nothing better than witnessing such a fantastic celebration of love and unity and being surrounded by such genuine families and people.
