It’s been almost a year since we shot this incredible winter wedding shoot inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s “Snow Queen”. As Toronto wedding photographers we’re always up for photographing a stunning and creative shoot like this winter wedding fairy tale. I came up with the concept and overall idea almost a year and a half ago, but had to quietly hold on to it until winter time. It had to be perfect. I knew I had to contact the best wedding professionals in Toronto area to agree to contribute their time, talent, and efforts to put the idea into reality. It has been so hard to keep this shoot a secret as we always knew that it deserved to be featured in a magazine and we didn’t want to spoil the surprise. With the story of Snow Queen and Kai evolving around the frozen lake, love for the icy queen, land of snow and ice, and ice shards this incredible shoot came to life under the direction of talented Elizabeth Johnson from Event Decorator. Kim from Valencienne along with her talented team created a truly magnificent and custom wedding gown befitting of the royalty this icy queen was meant to be while our male model looked handsome in a suit provided by GOT STYLE Menswear. Elsa Corsi‘s stunning and rich jewellery were just the perfect addition to the complete sophisticated, and wintery look of our winter wedding queen along with hair and makeup by Kristy Ann.
Sandra from Small Impressions created very unique little details consisting of a mirror invitation in white fur, along with menus, and little gift boxes.
The frosty 5 tier wedding cake created by Beth from Whimsical Wedding Cakes was dripping with jewels and crystallized sugar to reflect the rich luxurious setting settled in icy shards cake stand created by Ice Culture.
Ice Culture also created a truly magnificent ice bar with intricate design.
Finally the amazing rentals from Crystal World and Divine Furniture Rental along with the vision of super talented and creative Elizabeth, the owner of Event Decorator, completed the overall stunning and royal look we were looking for. We hope you enjoy what all these incredible Toronto wedding vendors have created and it inspires future brides to venture into the winter wedding territory. Happy planning with lots of creativity friends. Please let us know what you think.
